Dementia Resilience Fees

All fees follow recommended schedules set by funding bodies.

Fees will be advised by Dementia Resilience prior to booking.

 

Clients who have, or are eligible, may access the following types of funding:

​

  • Home Care Packages/Support at Home (Aged Care funding)

  • NDIS

  • Carer Gateway

  • Private Health Insurance

  • Private payment

 

Please liaise with your fund provider to confirm your options.

Dementia Resilience Skills for Families program

Carer Gateway funding 

Dementia Resilience is a registered provider of Carer Gateway; a nation-wide service that provides free support to carers. Through Carer Gateway support is tailored to your caring needs, with a wide range of services that may include tailored support packages, peer support, counselling, coaching, emergency respite, this program and more.

 

Visit www.carergateway.gov.au or call Carer Gateway on 1800 422 737, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, to find out how they can support you in your caring role.

 

Booking Process

Please use the Expression of Interest form on our Services page to advise of the location you are interested in.

 

Once availability is confirmed you will receive a follow-up phone call or email from Dementia Resilience with instructions on how to book and the cost.

Fee Payments

An invoice will be sent following the initial occupational therapy meeting with you and your family, and another after the first group session.

​

Referrals will be taken from any person involved in your care and you can refer yourself and family. Carer Gateway can also refer directly to Dementia Resilience on your behalf if you so choose.

Please note

  • To be eligible for this program you need to have a formal diagnosis of dementia made by a medical professional 

  • You also need to be living at home and have a family member/informal carer living with you or who visits at least once a week.

Individualised Plans on
Living Well with Dementia

Fees for the initial assessment will be discussed at the time of booking. ​

 

Follow-up costs for ongoing therapy will be outlined after the initial appointment.

 

Major home modifications and equipment prescriptions are not covered but referrals to relevant occupational therapists can be provided.

 

Invoices:

  • First invoice: After the initial occupational therapy meeting

  • Second and subsequent invoices: as agreed upon.

 

Referrals:

  • Accepted from any care provider or self-referral

  • A diagnosis of dementia and living at home are required to access services.​​​
